Among other things (like raiding bookstores, spoiling ourselves by eating out a lot, and enjoying our luxurious hotel room), I got my wedding ring cleaned for free today at the jeweler where I had it designed. It seemed appropriate. I was expecting the band to show a significant difference, but the stone shows the most noticeable difference. It shines and sparklea once more, and I can't stop holding my hand out and admiring it.

For those who don't know, my wedding ring is a plain silver band with a triangle-shaped aquamarine set into it. Really simple, and yet the setting it such that there's space between the stone and the band; the stone is suspended by three prongs, each at a tip of the triangle. Can anyone remind me of the name of that shaped stone? I knew once upon a time, but it's been a year.

Raiding bookstores...le sigh...we've been fantasizing about that a lot lately.
I am very much looking forward to doing that again.

We find it extremely enjoyable, with used bookstores and new ones, like Barnes and Noble. Are there no bookstores there in Japan?

There are, but the books are all in Japanese. And I don't read Japanese.

Well, that's discouraging, if not understandable, I suppose. If you want good bookstore recommendations while in Utah, we've covered most of the central Northern part. You know, the one-big-city part.

thanks, but we went to college there too, so we're pretty familiar. It'll be the DC area that will be fun finding new bookstores in.

Whew. Yeah, it would! I bet DC will have some AWEOME bookstores.

Now I'm jealous.
