I keep remembering a bumper sticker I saw walking from work one evening: Men are not financial plans.

Amen. There is a mentality that floats around this world that says if one marries, one'll be better off financially. That is not a reason to be married. Both individuals should be financially independent before they get married. Both Just'In and I pride ourselves of the fact that we're both college students with bills and we don't have one bit of debt to our names. He was indignant the other day when we got an advertisement in the mail directed specifically towards college students that assumed we had an amount of debt we wanted to get rid of. I was amused and proud at his indignance.

Obviously I survived this week because I'm still alive and posting and haven't had a nervous breakdown yet. Still sucking air and walking upright, as that hubbie of mine says. May he never cease to amuse me.
You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

I have often been described as an old soul, but this categorization works as well. It's interesting. I have several friends of mine with whom we just feel old together. When I talk with Jenny, for instance, we always end up talking about her relationships, referring back to the past and relating it to the future. And Marky and I always end up philosophizing about life in general. We're just a bunch of old people sitting in rocking chairs on a long, wide porch on Central, snacking on Lorna Doones, baby carrots, and lemonade.

And yet sometimes I feel incredibly young, as is proof by the fact that I still play dress-up and roll down grass hills and bounce and squeal and get a dreamy, far-off look as I daydream.

So I'm experimenting with this stuff to see if I can accomplish. Testing, testing... ) Did it work?
