We get a magazine we didn't subscribe to. We don't pay for it, and we don't know if anyone paid for it. Just'In's been throwing each issue away until I came along. Even though it's not something I would normally read, I still find parts of each issue fascinating. I wonder whether the issue we got today is telling the truth: This Is The Last Issue! It's Not Too Late To ReSubscribe!
We also get a paper on our doorstep almost every day that we haven't paid a cent for. I honestly think there's someone in the apartment complex who delivers papers. I did for about a year, and when I was done delivering my route, I often had five or six newspapers left. I'm sure the deliverer in our complex just dumps them at the doors he walks past to his own apartment. Sometimes there's one there, and sometimes there's not, just depending on how many the he had left that day. They were great for wrapping Christmas Presents (pre-cut, free wrapping paper) and occasionally I'll scoop it up from the doorstep, take it with me to campus, and inadvertantly leave it somewhere like a classroom or a professor's office.
On that same note, I've got a book that, by its very nature, needs to travel. I've contemplated on leaving it somewhere like my local sandwich shop, our university library, or even someplace where an English class meets, but I wonder whether anyone here wants to read it befoe hurling it on its way again. Any takers here for Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse?
