A Compliment From Another Stranger

In an job interview yesterday:

"So tell me a little bit about yourself."
I proceed to do so. The basics: Where I'm originally from, I graduated, I've been married for this long...
She's glancing at my resume and my app, and then starts listening intently.
After awhile, she says, "Oh, I'm sorry for staring, but you have such gorgeous eyes."
"Um, thanks?" I respond with a crooked grin.
"Well, they're dark on the outside, but on the inside, they're this amazingly clear blue. It's beautiful."
"I'm happy you like them, but they're defective."
